This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing Henshaws' estates and facilities services across multiple sites. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, y ou will lead teams covering maintenance, catering, housekeeping and health and safety, ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality environments for disabled people, staff, students and visitors.

Position

Your work will directly contribute to Henshaws' mission by creating spaces that enable independence and wellbeing for those we support. You will also play a key role in longer term planning and contributing to strategic decision making, particularly around estates and compliance.

  • Salary: £24.03 per hour/£47,483.28 per annum
  • Hours per week: 38
  • Weeks per year: 52
  • Annual leave: 5 weeks plus 10 days bank holiday
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: Harrogate and Knaresborough
  • Closing Date: 28th February 2026 - Noon

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in a senior estates or facilities management role within a multi-site environment
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of health and safety governance and compliance, ideally within regulated care or education settings
  • Effective budget management and contractor negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities

You should hold relevant facilities or property management qualifications or equivalent experience. A strategic health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma is desirable.

This role requires flexibility to travel between sites and an enhanced DBS check including the child barring list. A commitment to Henshaws values and a proactive approach to supporting disabled people is essential.
