KeyResponsibilities

  • Lead and manage the English department, driving high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
  • Develop and implement an ambitious and engaging English curriculum
  • Monitor student progress and ensure outstanding outcomes for all learners
  • Inspire and support colleagues through effective leadership and collaboration
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement strategies
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

TheIdeal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
  • Have a proven track record of raising attainment in English
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Be passionate about inspiring young people and raising aspirations
  • Have excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Be committed to inclusive education and student wellbeing
