Head of Engineering: GKL

Are you passionate about motorsports? We are seeking an exceptional Head of Engineering to lead a team of talented engineers in designing and developing our electric karts and ancillary products. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a growing group of engineers as they complete various design and development projects.

• Be responsible for all the engineering functions related to mechanical and electrical systems and software requirements for the proprietary karts and associated ancillaries.

• Create workflows from ideation to testing to customer deployment for all engineering related components.

• Work cross-functionally with other departments, for example Track Operations, to better define the final product development roadmap.

• Improve the level of technology for both karts and all associated devices that are necessary to create a seamless and repeatable event delivery.

You are:

• Capable of mentoring younger engineers and leading by example on the job.

• Happy to work in a team rather than in isolation, learning together and sharing information.

• Process-orientated and capable of defining and training others.

• A problem solver and apply lateral thinking in order to solve problems.

You have:

• A masters degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

• Cross-functional experience and collaborative approach to work.

• An excellent work ethic and experience of working in a highly demanding environment.

• The right to work in the UK.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience working in high performing engineering roles.

• Project planning experience to be able to plan from ideation to track delivery.

• Experience of working across multiple engineering disciplines in order to supervise and carry out the relevant engineering tasks, being hands-on if necessary.

• Being responsible for all engineering functions relating to Global Karting League
• Supporting engineers in completing various design projects
