Petrofac is seeking a Head of Discipline - Electrical & Instrumental - PAYE contract position based in Aberdeen.
Job Title: Head of Discipline - Electrical & Instrumental
Key Accountabilities include:
• Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to Petrofac's 'Eight Golden Rules'.
• 'Live' Petrofac core values and apply them in day-to-day work.
• Lead and manage the E&I discipline team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Develop and implement E&I engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, engineering managers, project managers, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
• Review and approve E&I engineering deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Manage E&I project budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Conduct technical reviews and audits to ensure the integrity and reliability of E&I systems.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and innovations.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the E&I team.
• Review changes in legislation, standards and codes of practice and advise affected personnel
• Develop discipline capability and knowledge through lessons learned activities, quality incidents and observations.
• Embed Best Practice throughout the discipline
• Maintain an overview of all discipline workload throughout the business
• Proactive recruitment and allocation of discipline personnel to support all business areas to ensure delivery of critical business activities
• Support Graduate & Trainee recruitment & development
• Provide discipline input to bids and business development activities
• Ensure that all discipline work complies with project and Petrofac health, safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures; project specific HSE and quality plans; and agreed interfacing requirements with sub-contractors as appropriate.

The candidate will be expected to be degree qualified (or equivalent) in relevant engineering discipline, hold chartered status with a relevant institution and have significant experience of electrical or instrument engineering in a similar organisation.
