Head of Digital Engineering Sales - UKI

The Head of Digital Engineering Sales should have core skills and background from digital engineering and/or DX along with practice development and sales/pre-sales experience. Experience with consulting firm and/pr hyperscaler is a plus. SLS-M would be required laise with C suite clients. SLS-M would be responsible for driving growth though SPE offerings including modernization, Gen AI, cloud transformation, Digital Engineering and product engineering, customer experience and would drive cross-sell/up-sell of larger SPE offerings portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Analysis

• Lead analysis of the market needs and build relevant services/solutions

• Develop insights on the key market and competitor trends with focus on tech evolution / new threats

• Develop growth business strategy and execution plan including, activities, inter-dependencies and timelines

Client Management

• Build and manage relationships with client senior leadership to understand overarching client goals and objectives

• Meet with clients to discuss business and IT system requirements

• Negotiate and manage client contracts overall and for specific projects, manage financials including budgeting and reconciliation against targets

Deal shaping / strategic pursuits

• Be accountable for directing the deal pursuit process end to end within the service line

• Define deal/pursuit strategy, identify client stakeholders (decision makers, influencers) and win themes

• Lead team working on preparation of business proposals for clients, including responses on request for proposals (RFPs)

PoV driven consultative solutioning

• Conduct advisory/consulting sessions with clients on best-in-class technology solutions, processes and governance

• Lead development of solutions for client specific business and IT system requirements

• Develop and/or adopt solution execution and operations methodologies and processes to deliver client expectations on budget, schedule and quality

Financial Management, Planning & Oversight

• Execute sales planning & forecasting across target business portfolio for upcoming months and quarters

• Provide oversight on execution of solutions including planning, schedule management and budget tracking

Manage practice area performance:

• Ensure Practice area revenue growth in line or above market

• Support Markets and troubleshoot challenges as-needed

Resource Planning and Selection

• Identify resource needs based on client stated and anticipated business and system requirements

• Identify right resource skillsets and experience profiles for project needs

• Conduct and/or oversee personnel interviews and evaluation for fitment to client needs

• Recommend right-fit personnel for hiring and project onboarding

Thought leadership:

• Engage with external analysts to position the Practice area expertise

• Define thought leadership & portfolio strategy, publish, educate the market and drive commercial conversations

Experience Required:

Functional/Practice knowledge: Should have demonstrable experience building and growing at least two of these capabilities/practices 1)digital engineering and product engineering, 2) customer/digital experience, 3) application dev and maintenance and 4)quality engineering

Technical prowess: Technical expertise in Functional/Practice area to bring together solutions to address customer needs, and to create proof of concepts if needed, as well as credentialise solutions

Industry knowledge: Deep knowledge of any of the industries

Commercial knowledge: Ability to analyse sales opportunities and qualify leads and opportunities

Executive Presence: Effective executive communication skills to clearly articulate vision and lead effective teams across the enterprise; productively challenge counterparts, bringing valuable insights

Relationship management: Outstanding interpersonal abilities; skilled in managing relationships with executive leadership and business units, effectively aligning stakeholders to strategic plans and mediating conflict

Leadership experience: Excellent organisational and leadership skills to build strong Strategy function and lead by example; strong project management, budgeting, talent management, and business operations skills
