As the Head of Design & Style you'll be responsible for leading the O&S design and style direction for all categories. You'll define and develop a 'Style & Design' strategy that enhances performance by delivering customer-focused, inspirational direction across all product categories. This role can be based in the UK or France.

What's the job?

  • Lead and develop a cross category design and style language and strategy for OEB products.
  • Lead as the primary design interface for all product development process with design team , driving consistency between categories.
  • Working closely with customer insight team to ensure CMF recommendations are relevant to OEB customer expectations.
  • Drive the approach and influence the category thinking on gap analysis for trend and design insight .
  • Support the product development and engineering teams with allocating right resources from design team into relevant product development projects
  • As part of Product Development Leadership Team , reinforce OEB by ensuring the desired quality and sustainability standards are considered through the design and material selection process.
  • Conduct regular store, competitor, vendor, raw material specialists and trade show visits.

What you'll bring

  • Proven leader and business influencer with strong experience in a creative and design insight role - a true subject matter expert in design & style management.
  • Strong knowledge of how sourcing, buying, and product design functions operate and how trend and design expertise can grow sales for commercial advantage.
  • Powerful and influential communicator who can influence a wide variety of stakeholders and able to challenge at different levels in the right way.
  • Experience of influencing, leading, developing, and coaching cross functional teams to drive high performance.
  • Achieves results - is organised and structured, keeps commitments, builds an effective control environment, recognises the framework within which the business operates and manages/controls risk.
  • Global & national travel required.
  • Experience of working across multiple product categories
