The Role: We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher to take on the newly created role of Head of Department - Business and Economics. Our new Head of Department will be responsible for the development and delivery of the curriculum, ensuring our staff have strong and up to date subject knowledge and that students are knowledgeable, confident learners who make strong progress and achieve excellent outcomes - especially those students who need us even more and will have an unstinting belief that every young person, whatever their starting point, can make and sustain exceptional progress and that our purpose is to change lives. We are looking for an exceptional Business and Economics practitioner with QTS/QTLS who can use their experience, extensive subject knowledge, and vision to get the best from their team and deliver high quality outcomes for our students. You'll also act as a lead internal verifier for BTEC. We are keen to hear from excellent teachers, passionate about their subject and who can clearly see why it has an important part to play in the curriculum. The length of your experience as a teacher is less important to us than your ability to motivate and inspire. Our new colleague will have an unstinting belief that every young person, whatever their starting point, can make and sustain exceptional progress and that our purpose is to change lives.
