Purpose and position in Organisation

As Head of Delivery Excellence - Technology Consulting you will take accountability for the overall success of our services delivery and growth of our existing client relationships within your portfolio. You will lead highly complex, multi-region, consulting programs either as Program Director or Executive Sponsor coaching teams to deliver effective results for clients and AMS and as the key relationship for senior client and internal AMS stakeholders.

You will be accountable for the ongoing development, and continued evolution of our delivery teams ensuring we have the right tools, skills and capabilities in the right places to deliver on existing and emerging service lines require technology consulting capabilities.

You will build strong collaborative relationships with your regional counterparts in technology and with all AMS functions teams across Consulting, Innovation, AMS Technology and Digital, RPO and Implementation and Transformation. You will ensure Technology Consultants interface internally, with partners and with clients in a cohesive way that delivers exceptional results. with all projects having a clear RACI, Governance Framework, Objectives and a clear understanding of the client outcomes and problem statements they've trusted AMS to help them solve ensuring the technology team contributes to exceptional program delivery and optimal outcomes for our clients.

This role will manage a cross functional team of industry leading technology talent with expertise across a range of Enterprise Tech platforms. You will be accountable to the Head of Technology Consulting for the continued development and evolution of how we work effectively, the commercial performance of the function, the continued growth and development of our people to deliver today's and tomorrow's services.

Reports to: Head of Technology and Analytics Consulting - Strategy & Growth

Performance Outcomes:

Delivery

  • Accountable for the effective commerciality, contractual compliance and quality of our services delivery across all technology projects, ensuring teams are optimised to deliver the best possible outcomes for AMS and our Clients
  • Accountable for driving client advocacy through external case studies, joint speaking opportunities, building pools of client referrers and use of client logos on our websites in line with targets

Team Leadership

  • Achieve team engagement at or above target engagement scores measured through our Every Voice Matters (EVM) Surveys twice annually
  • Voluntary attrition kept below annual target
  • Retention of high potential employees kept within annual target

Commercial

  • Accountable for target commercial results across all projects measured through data and analysis on live and closed projects through timesheet reporting
  • Accountable for overall commercial results for your region meeting utilisation, margin and NFI annual targets

Relationships

  • Accountability for establishing and maintaining your network of client, partner, and internal stakeholder relationships resulting in repeat business/expansion of scope, advocacy, cohesive delivery resulting in deepening relationships and business across broader AMS service lines
  • Maintain 100% positive satisfaction from client, prospect, partner, and internal stakeholders on lead or support by the technology team measured through client feedback through project phases and at the project close

Growth

  • Achieve 50% upsell or extension of scope on all projects led or supported by the Tech Consulting team

Key Accountabilities

Delivery

  • Responsible for the delivery of programs such as Consulting Diagnostics (provision of strategic advisory services) or large, integrated multinational Direct or Outsourcing projects including:
    • guiding and leading a team of consultants to achieve activities, milestones, and deliverables
    • Facilitating client workshops that have a wide audience across talent acquisition / HR stakeholders and technology teams
    • Ensure RACI, expectations and ways of working outlined for team and that what we've set out to achieve in partnership is clear and measurable
  • Responsible for Exec Sponsorship for projects offering coaching, supporting risk mitigation and maintain stakeholder relationships internally and with the client
  • Contributes to the development of Tech Consulting services including how these are priced and delivered
  • Accountable for project issue and escalation resolution, supporting Managers and Sr Managers. Minimal escalation to Head of Tech & Analytics Consulting, Regional/Global or Consulting Managing Director

Commercial

  • Responsible for ensuring the team understands the commercial nature, processes and value of what they deliver and that they adhere to processes for the financial management of their projects
  • Responsible for pricing (including cross functional resources required for the program delivery) has been completed for every project with scope clearly defined in proposals and contracts
  • Author and/or review and signoff scope, commercials and terms within statements of work and oversee the contracting process for tech Consulting and outsourcing projects (including partner contracts when required)
  • Responsible for ensuring team's Salesforce entries accurately reflect dates, commercials, services and client contacts for accuracy
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Tech P&L, with a clear picture of costs, resources, forecasted projects and any action plans to mitigate against risks

Team Leadership

  • Collaborate with Technology Consulting leadership to build and effectively communicate team's strategic vision, growth, and people strategy. Contribute to and support the overall AMS strategy
  • Lead hiring by providing hiring forecasts, guide pipelining needs, ensure all HMs have completed relevant Ignite hiring courses, partner with HR and Assessment COE to create / refresh interview guides for Tech Consulting hiring
  • Coach and mentor team members and staff across Consulting practices making the most of our matrix environment to create an inclusive and engaging culture that enables growth and learning
  • Act as a role model leadership for all within tech Consulting teams
  • Effective communication, implementation and evolution of people development strategy and how this aligns to AMS strategy

Relationships

  • Ensure partnership with clients by driving relationships across key accounts within client portfolio, keeping in touch during and post client delivery
  • Generate strong internal stakeholder relationships ensuring they understand Tech Consulting's value and fostering collaboration

Growth

  • SME on sales pursuits, bringing to life our capabilities, case studies, and solutions we can provide the client
  • Guide team members on the development of marketing, sales, and Consulting content/case studies
  • Take on speaking engagements and prepare content that will be delivered to stakeholders at all levels
  • Deliver thought leadership through external client case studies, articles, and providing input into talent technology trends.

Skills and Experience

Critical Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience in scoping, designing, and delivering complex digital transformation programs
  • Experience in leading complex talent technology Consulting projects and solutions in a high performing project environment with multiple workstreams and consultants.
  • Strategic understanding of talent acquisition technology market drivers
  • Ability to thrive in a highly matrixed organization with capability to navigate complex environments and provide coaching and development to own team and team members from other practices and functions to ensure success and help people develop
  • Deep expertise in managing projects using both agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to produce conference and client ready presentations and business cases with clear messaging and value proposition.
  • Ability to present to multiple audiences at all levels in a sales, thought leadership and client project environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing senior relationships with clients, internal teams, and external technology partners.
  • Experience in developing consultant training and upskilling programs that enable delivery and scaling of a growing team.
  • Deep specialist knowledge in talent acquisition and business intelligence tools.
  • Able to positively manage multiple conflicting priorities and deliver to deadlines

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Specialist knowledge in talent management technologies.
  • Experience working with RPO and CWS programs in a technology or analytics SME capacity.
  • Demonstrate capability to manage a P&L.
