Head of CRM Strategy and Operations

Basic purpose of the job

Head of Strategy and Operations for the Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolic diseases franchise is responsible for identifying, scoping, leading/managing and implementing strategic projects for the largest franchise in the UK & Ireland. The role is also responsible for the development and implementation of franchise governance, the steering of key business processes (e.g., annual strategic and tactical planning) and the facilitation of effective collaboration points (e.g., franchise leadership Team, country performance call). The successful candidate will be a member of the franchise leadership Team and can act as a delegate of the franchise director when required.

The successful candidate is expected to employ commercial acumen, strategic mindset, leadership, analytical expertise and project management skills to ensure projects are delivered at the highest standard and in line with business requirements and strategic priorities.

The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with the cross-functional franchise leadership Team, other relevant local/global stakeholders, as well as the alliance partner to drive effective planning and execution across the franchise.

Given the transformational nature of this role and the complex internal and stakeholder environment, the successful candidate requires an exceptional ability to lead without authority and influence others to change behaviours and ways of working, through evidence-based logical arguments and a high E.Q.

Accountabilities

Identifying, scoping, leading/managing and delivering strategic projects within the CRM franchise

Expected to manage multiple projects concurrently. High project variety and complexity expected across commercial, medical, access and healthcare system engagement topics. The successful candidate is expected to bring both content expertise while project managing and gathering inputs from cross-functional stakeholders.

Development and implementation of franchise governance, steering of key business processes and facilitation of meetings. High complexity due to cross-functional nature of franchise, compliance considerations and alliance.

Driving the effective execution of business strategy across the franchise including marketing excellence, field force execution, strategic account management and others expected to navigate a complex stakeholder landscape (internal and alliance, ensure clear alignment on priorities and cascade across the organization (including CRM field force)

Ensure evidence-driven prioritization across the franchise, including optimising resource allocation across projects and teams, conducting financial analysis as required to support resourcing decisions, lead preparation and facilitation of effective FLT meetings as well as follow up actions.

Developing and championing execution mindset and excellence via mentoring and coaching of respective key stakeholders in the CRM Franchise.

Stakeholder Management: Maintain an effective partnership with cross-functional teams, alliance partners, customer experience team, market access, healthcare system engagement, business transformation & ops, as well as the human pharma leadership team and corporate stakeholders. Garner cross-functional support and foster collaboration via pro-active engagement with the respective functions.

Requirements

• 5 years experience in top tier management consulting with good exposure and focus on serving life science clients

• Extensive project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, including leading cross-functional teams without authority

• Demonstrated extensive experience in strategy development and implementation

• Deep understanding of issues affecting multinational pharmaceutical businesses in the UK & Ireland

• Understanding of the UK & Ireland healthcare environment and the role of pharmaceutical companies within it

• Strong ability to partner, develop and maintain positive, professional working relationships both internally and externally

• Effective written and verbal communication and experience in facilitating effective meetings

• Ability to present to a wide range of audiences, including senior leadership

• The successful candidatewill be expected to deliver effective solutions while working collaboratively within a complex network of stakeholders.

• Masters degree preferred.
