Job Description

As Head of Corporate Communications, you will own and shape Omio's strategic narrative across earned and owned, and corporate channels. You will work cross-functionally with executive leadership, investor relations, snd the different business units of Omio Group to ensure Omio's story is consistent, forward-looking, and aligned with our business objectives.

This role is ideal for a strategic communicator who thrives in fast-moving, cross-functional environments and has deep expertise in media relations, executive communications, and brand positioning-particularly within the tech, finance, or travel industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the global corporate communications strategy, including Omio group level news, finance and strategy communications.
  • Position Omio as an industry thought leader in travel tech, innovation, and AI through earned media, speaker engagements, and editorial content.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with key journalists and media outlets across tech, finance, and travel.
  • Oversee press releases, media pitches, Q&As, briefings, and all outbound corporate messaging.
  • Support C-suite communications, including CEO and founder thought leadership, investor messaging, and strategic speaking opportunities.
  • Develop a cohesive Internal reporting to keep the C-Level updated on industry news and mentions of Omio in the media.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on sensitive or high-stakes communication topics (e.g., funding announcements, product launches, regulatory issues).
  • Collaborate closely with product, brand, investor relations, and marketing teams on cross-functional campaigns and announcements.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7-9 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or strategic communications
  • Proven track record in managing communications for companies in tech, finance, or travel industries
  • Deep understanding of media landscapes across Europe and/or North America
  • Experience working with or in high-growth tech companies, startups, or VC-backed firms
  • Strong relationships with relevant journalists and media outlets (e.g., TechCrunch, Financial Times, Skift, CNBC, Wired, etc.)
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and editorial skills across formats and channels
  • Demonstrated success in managing executive visibility and crisis communication
  • Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Fluent in English; additional languages (especially German or French) are a plus
