The team
This role sits in the M&E Marketing team and plays a vital role in leading the team developing lower funnel marketing activity which drives ITV business KPIs across Broadcast and Streaming.
The role
The Head of Conversion Marketing will lead a team who are responsible for impactful, innovative marketing activity, leveraging our brand, services and content, in order to drive lower funnel marketing outcomes, ensuring that ITV remains relevant, talked about and watched by millions every day.
The person in this role will need to work closely with colleagues in our Insight, Media, Creative, Delivery and Publicity teams, working collaboratively to create impactful, relevant communications which resonate with viewers.
A close working relationship with other business areas, including Editorial & Product teams, will also be vital, working collaboratively and building marketing's reputation as an engine for growth.
A passion for viewer insight and effectiveness is key in this role, with a focus on ensuring marketing investment is cutting through in an increasingly competitive market.
• Work with the Marketing Planning Director to agree the overall shape of the annual marketing plan and how lower funnel activity fits within that to drive 'conversion' outcomes.
• Develop the 'conversion' plan for the year, identifying an overall approach, key audiences and specific tactics which can work hardest to drive lower funnel marketing outcomes (such as Monthly Active Users and Subscription Starts).
• Lead the Conversion Marketing team in the successful execution of these plans, ensuring all activity is aligned with our overall strategy, built around clear insight and creatively impactful.
• Lead the Conversion Marketing team, ensuring the whole team is set up to develop best in class activity, including working collaboratively with colleagues in the Media, Creative and Delivery teams.
• Work with the Marketing Insight team to ensure the latest audience and market insights are embedded in all marketing briefs.
• Work with the Insights and Media teams (and external partners) to identify and put in place the tools and techniques required to deliver targeted, relevant marketing at scale.
- Work closely with the Head of Brand to ensure all marketing activity delivers against our brand positioning and tone of voice.
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)
- Evidence of ability to develop best in class targeted marketing activity which engages audiences, makes ITV feel relevant and ultimately converts into viewing and subscriptions.
- Evidence of ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and able to influence effectively including defending unpopular decisions.
- Understanding of all types of media, with particular experience and specialism in digital and data marketing techniques.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to set a clear plan and mobilise teams to execute against this.
- Leadership skills focused on setting a clear, ambitious vision and then delegating and coaching teams to execute the plan.
• In depth knowledge of the UK TV marketplace and ITV's position within it, including the latest changes in viewing trends and content discovery.
