Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Direction & Priority Setting: Provide clear strategic direction, establishing priorities that align with our overall business strategy and objectives.
• Financial Oversight: Oversee the financial performance, including meticulous documentation of budget vs. actuals, accruals, and accuracy. You will ensure effective cost and revenue management, monitoring P&L and key metrics.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, attending business reviews to communicate performance insights and strategic initiatives. Your ability to influence and engage will be crucial in driving collaboration across functions.
• Operational Excellence: Plan, organize, and ensure effective business management and operations. You will oversee account management and operations, including accounting, purchasing, personnel, and financial functions as needed.
• Performance Assessment & Improvement: Assess and report on performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending actionable plans. Your analytical skills will enable you to address complex multi-dimensional issues, driving enhancements that improve efficiency and productivity.
• Growth Opportunities: Drive the exploration and exploitation of growth opportunities, resolving conflicts and ensuring effective execution in critical areas such as product and market strategy, business development, and investments.
• Employee Management: Lead and manage employees within your function, developing performance targets and training plans to enhance their capabilities and engagement. You will be responsible for handling issue escalations, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a Head Of position responsible for a national network of transport planning.
• Proven experience managing full Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and overseeing significant budget responsibilities, ideally with a track record of managing budgets.
• Ability to think big and envision the future of business operations. A forward-looking mindset with a focus on identifying growth opportunities and shaping strategies that align with future business needs.
• Demonstrated experience in business development, with a strong understanding of how to drive new business initiatives and foster long-term relationships.
• Exceptional ability to partner with senior stakeholders, effectively communicating and collaborating to align objectives and drive strategic initiatives.
• Solid background in the transport and logistics sector, with a comprehensive understanding of industry dynamics and market trends.
• Comfortable and experienced in engaging with customers directly, hosting them on-site, and building strong relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• A keen eye for identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities, with a strategic approach to shaping the future of the business.
