Role Description

Allianz has a great opportunity for a Head of Continuous Improvement based from any of our offices in the UK.Reporting to our Business Transformation & Customer Experience Director, you will be responsible for driving a culture of continuous improvement throughout Allianz Commercial. You will achieve this by identifying opportunities for optimisation, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategy, aligned to AZ Commercial corporate strategies ensuring capability through regular review of learning, quality, operational and development activity.
  • Collaborates with departmental heads and cross-functional teams to understand and confirm strategic alignment, business processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions.
  • Utilises data-driven insights and performance metrics to assess current processes, identify root causes of inefficiencies, and develop actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure internal improvement ideas are appropriately captured, assessed, and prioritised, and that deliverables support best practice and lessons learned.
  • Represent the business area at cross functional forums, enabling sharing of and learning from best practice and assuring alignment, and future
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact our business operations, incorporating relevant insights into continuous improvement efforts and be the benchmark for best practice and implement emerging thinking as required.
  • This senior leadership role supports delivery of strategic objectives linked to:

Essential Skills

  • Deep knowledge of Insurance industry, including extensive accumulation of Insurance experience
  • Proven experience of delivering large strategic initiatives
  • Strong leadership experience in setting strategy, leading team and influencing across all levels
  • Experience of introducing the latest thinking, technologies and methodologies into mature businesses
  • Demonstration of patience, emotional intelligence, resilience, and critical and strategic thinking
