The TikTok UKI & Nordics Content Operations team is responsible for driving the supply of diverse & high quality content on the platform by building close relationships with the most relevant creators and publishers in these countries. The team will also create locally relevant programs (editorial or product programs, tentpoles, events) and localise global ones to cultivate a healthy and vibrant community, engage our Top publishers & creators and to drive product adoption. TikTok Content Ops works cross-functionally with a variety of teams (Product, Marketing, Communications, Public Affairs, Monetization...) to drive the achievements of the Company's OKR in these markets and serve as the local expert voice for global teams.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the EMEA Content Operations GM and contributing to the EMEA content strategy as the other market leads.
- Responsible for building a world-class team and setting the TikTok strategy for the UK, Ireland and Nordics markets, with a primary focus on partnerships with TikTok creators and publishers in the region.
- Lead and grow teams to manage the overall content communities, creators, content partnerships, and in-app content programs for the UK & Nordics markets.
- Set local OKRs, metrics and success measures and strategies to deliver upon those goals.
- Lead local content strategies to drive product adoption, grow creators/communities, develop strategic content partnerships with creators and publishers, and to drive diversified and safe high-quality content on the platform to attract and retain users based on deep understanding of the local content ecosystem.
- Partner closely with the TikTok-Product, Marketing, GBS, T&S, Legal, Comms, and Public Policy teams in order to support, innovate and effectively grow our user base and support revenue efforts.
- Co-lead strategic cross-functional workstreams and co-facilitate forums to drive best-in-class operation of the business in the market, in partnership with other cross-functional teams and regional partners.
- Identify content opportunities and business challenges for the platform in the region, including monitoring competitors and industry/market trends.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Significant relevant industry experience in a major media or tech business, ideally with a focus on content operations or development, marketing, content partnerships, and/or multi-channel content platforms.
- Deep understanding of the content, social media and media business landscape; familiarity with both traditional and advanced digital marketing channels; strong insight into digital content strategies and product operations.
- Experience working with online communities, policymakers and media outlets.
- Experience building, managing, leading, and inspiring creative, collaborative, and high-performing teams and proven performance indirectly leveraging cross-functional teams to drive strategic growth initiatives
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to be flexible and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, startup environment. Exemplary interpersonal and analytical abilities.
