Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Head of Construction to lead and drive the delivery of super-prime residential projects across London. This senior role demands a deep understanding of construction methodologies, excellent technical expertise, and the ability to manage both internal teams and external sub-contractors. The Head of Construction will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality remains uncompromised, deadlines are met, and client expectations are exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construction Oversight: Oversee complex construction projects, including basement digs, high-end interior fit-outs, new builds, and renovations, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards.
• Technical Leadership: Resolve on-site challenges with expert technical knowledge, ensuring full compliance with UK building regulations and industry standards.
• Project Programmes: Actively drive project programmes, ensuring all projects remain on track, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
• Proactive Planning: Identify and mitigate potential delays through proactive planning, intervention, and effective decision-making.
• Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and inspire both internal labour and external sub-contractors, ensuring strong performance and quality control at all stages of the project.
• Support & Guidance: Advise and support Project Managers and Site Managers to enhance team performance and ensure smooth project delivery.
• Multiple Project Management: Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each one maintains focus on quality, timelines, and budget.
• Site Progress & Performance: Provide hands-on leadership on-site to ensure progress aligns with expectations, meeting all measurable targets.
• Reporting & Insights: Deliver detailed site progress reports to the leadership team, providing actionable insights and addressing any concerns.
• Travel & Site Leadership: Regularly travel between sites to provide on-the-ground leadership and ensure the smooth execution of all projects.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Experience: Proven track record of successfully managing high-end residential construction projects, with preference for super-prime residential experience.
• Technical Expertise: Exceptional understanding of construction methodologies, technical practices, and the ability to resolve complex on-site challenges.
• Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and inspire diverse teams, including both in-house staff and external subcontractors.
• Multitasking: Ability to oversee multiple projects at once without compromising on quality, budget, or timelines.
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive performance and ensure clear communication across all levels of the team.
• Problem-Solving: Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to potential issues, with the ability to mitigate risks before they affect the project.
• Clear Communication: Ability to provide clear, concise updates to senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across the team.
