Head of Community Support and Activities

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 dependant on experience and qualifications

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: North Leeds - Office based.

For over 145 years, Leeds Jewish Welfare Board has provided support to the Jewish community and North Leeds community. Our vision is to positively change lives and we do this by delivering an extensive range of community-based support and registered care services to over 1,000 people every month.

Role Summary

This is an exciting role that combines the responsibility for the development and line-management of our amazing community support and activities team; and ensuring that services are developed in line with needs of our beneficiaries and funding regimes.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team you will contribute to and guide the strategic management of our service; helping to achieve LJWB's vision, mission, aims and objectives. Our expectations are high, and we make no apologies for that, the community we serve deserves the best.

This role will also play a key function in ensuring that the team are fully supported in their practice and are at the forefront of providing innovative face to face and, if appropriate, digitally based services to expand our reach and support of our community.

Your previous knowledge, expertise and qualifications will help to support our team. As such, experience in a social care, health or housing field is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop your team to achieve continued outstanding results. You and your team must take pride and accountability for services provided.

Manage budgets, resources, and operational needs to ensure sustainability of programs.

Develop services in line with need, skill and resources.

Skills and Qualifications:

Relevant qualification in Social Care for Adults and/ or Children.

Proven experience in social work, health, housing or a related field.

Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage teams, projects, and budgets.

A passion for serving communities and driving positive change.

Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
