Main Purpose
The Head of Commercial Support has functional responsibility for the Customer Service, Sales Support, Tenders & Bids, Contract Management & Governance and Internal sales teams. Key responsibilities are to ensure that our customer needs are being exceeded and delivery to the internal teams is best in class.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a high-performing Tenders & Bids function that fully supports the activities of the customer-facing sales teams.
- Support Marketing to create detailed Value Propositions to support entry into new markets and to cement our position in existing sectors.
- Lead the internal sales teams to support the Sales Manager community to grow existing and new customers in line with annual targets.
- Build a support function within the Commercial Support infrastructure to manage Commercial governance.
- Develop a Sales Support and Customer Service function that fully supports our Healthcare, Industrial and Service customer portfolios.
- To maintain close communication with other functions and departments around the organisation.
- Develop best practice processes and knowledge sharing.
- Monitor the performance of commercial activities using appropriate KPI metrics and the ability to produce meaningful reports to the Leadership Team and external stakeholders as necessary.
- High level of understanding of current and emerging market trends and technologies.
Experience/Qualifications
- Experience of working in a high-performing Commercial role.
- Experience of working within a Healthcare or Industrial sector would be advantageous.
- Experience of leading a significant Customer
- Service function.Clean driving licence
