The Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Americas the Head of Commercial will develop our long-term strategy as it relates to the procurement and pricing of services from our partner network, supporting growth without compromise, optimise margins and the achievement of our sustainability goals. This will include collaboration with key internal stakeholders including Supply Chain Management, Client Services, Account Management, Business Development and Finance to analyse market dynamics, assess pricing models and develop effective pricing solutions. The role requires maintaining strong relationships and excellent management skills.

As Head of Commercial you will also develop and implement the key objectives of the K2 Kinetic 5 years business plan.

Monday to Friday 8.30-5.30

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and periodically review our pricing strategies to optimise margins and ensure alignment with business objectives and market conditions.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders including Partners, the team and wider team.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Partner Relationships to ensure we have the right K2 partners, delivering the right services at the right prices.
  • Analyse historic pricing trends, customer / service segmentation and buying behaviour to make data-driven pricing decisions.
  • Collaborate with Account Management, Business Development and Finance to determine optimal pricing for new and existing services and deliver pricing consistency and compliance across the organisation.
  • Conduct comprehensive ongoing market analysis, monitor competitor pricing strategies, and identify opportunities for pricing optimisation.
  • Preparing reports and presenting these to staff and key stakeholders. Collaborate with Account Management and Business Development to develop pricing guidelines, tools, and training programs to support effective price negotiations.
  • Identify and help to implement technological tools to streamline transactional processes improving accuracy and efficiency.
  • Effectively lead, manage and monitor the team and individuals ensuring customer service is delivered and maintained as well as business objectives met in a timely manner.
  • Strong leadership skills to support, train and develop the team and individuals.
  • Undertake appraisals, 121s, set, develop and review goals and KPIs.
  • Delegating and directing service tasks, monitoring the progress of current projects, and managing service with Partners and team members to ensure the team's objectives and goals are met.
  • Handling escalations, complaints or concerns in a timely manner and professionally to maintain good customer relationships and ensure repeat business.
  • Monitor and manage the Commercial budget by regularly reviewing statistics and the P&L and taking appropriate action where necessary.
  • Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Any other task as defined by the needs of the business.

  • Proven experience in successfully managing a team.
  • Ability to lead, manage and develop managers and the wider team.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to have difficult conversations.
  • Effective organisational skills, ability to identify skill sets and delegation of tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Proficient in market research, competitive analysis, and pricing analytics.
  • Solid understanding of pricing strategies, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute pricing strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Strong networking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to present and publicly speak with impact.
  • Strong business acumen with a keen understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in using pricing software, analytics tools, and advanced Excel functions.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and manage multiple priorities.

Accountability: for GDPR & ISO

Training and Education

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field - equivalent qualifications and experience accepted, would be desirable.
  • Significant proven experience in pricing, revenue management, or related roles, preferably in a similar industry is desirable.
