Job Introduction

Working for the Brandon Hire Station division, reporting to the Divisional Finance Director, the new Head of Commercial Finance will play a key role in supporting the strategic and commercial decision making of the business. You'll do this by providing a business partnering service as well as owning the FP&A and monthly reporting process.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of a finance strategy, driving business performance, providing financial analysis to support this
• Leading and developing the commercial finance team
• Provide a true business partnering service, improving the commercial acumen across the business
• Ownership of the annual budgeting and forecasting process and implementing true rolling forecasts
• Implementing controls to help manage risk, ensuring appropriate financial and commercial governance is in place
• Develop and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external
• Evaluating and improving financial processes and systems
• Provide accurate and timely information that allows employees to make data driven decisions
• Commercial review of customer bids and tenders
• Working in conjunction with Business Intelligence team to support the delivery of management dashboards and self-service reporting through Tableau the
• Create and develop improved business reporting for all departments, driving efficiencies
• Supporting the pricing strategy of the business and aiding in its delivery
• Building of the company's annual revenue budget, ensuring it aligns with group expectations

What We're Looking For

• Proven ability to provide leadership, motivation and direction through clear delegation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience of working in financial management, preferably in a commercial business
• A deep understanding of financial modelling and forecasting
• A genuine want to change, develop and evolve the Commercial Finance Function
• Professional accounting qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Excellent IT skills, proficient in Excel and experience with BI tools
• Experience of working in partnership with non-financial managers
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
• Comfortable with regular travel and remote working
