As the Head of Colleague IT Experience, you will play a pivotal role in the development of strategy and technology roadmaps, ensuring that our workplace IT services are efficient, effective, and aligned with the needs of our colleagues.
In this role, you will be responsible for evolving Royal London's colleague-facing IT offering by setting strategy and driving the implementation and adoption of workplace technologies. You will collaborate with functional representatives and senior stakeholders to identify and meet the IT requirements of colleagues across the business. Your leadership will be crucial in managing various teams, including End User Computing, Microsoft 365, IT Service Desk, and Second Line Support, to continuously improve the IT service experience for colleagues.

About the role
- Understand and improve the colleague journey with workplace IT by providing modern work technologies and practices.
- Collaborate with functional representatives and senior stakeholders to identify and meet the IT requirements of colleagues across the Group.
- Agree the product roadmap and strategy for workplace technologies, working with other Group functions to achieve the right outcomes for colleagues.
- Identify efficiencies and maximise license value across workplace technologies.
- Maintain workplace technologies within support requirements and meet required Cyber security standards.
- Lead the End User Computing (EUC), Microsoft 365 (M365), IT Service Desk, and Second Line Support teams.
- Improve the IT Service experience for colleagues offered by the Service Desk and wider support teams.
- Owner of the budget, relevant policies/processes, controls, and change initiatives linked to Colleague Experience technologies.
- Drive and sponsor change investment to bring in new or significantly change workplace technologies.
- Act as an escalation point for complex issues, focusing on resolving operational and delivery challenges.
About you
- Passionate and inquisitive about new technologies that could make IT more accessible and release business value.
- Senior IT management skills, ideally ITIL and ServiceNow; experience with agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery models.
- Strong technical expertise with high levels of literacy and awareness of M365 products, desktop virtualisation, meeting room technology and hybrid working technology.
- Extensive experience in business relationship management in an IT environment, ideally within a regulated industry.
- Strong track record of collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to translate outcomes into technology strategies and delivery.
- Strong leadership skills, ability to manage multiple teams, and inspire and energise people.
