Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To work with staff across the Trust to enable change, improvement and engagement in clinical governance. The post holder will use highly developed persuasive and organisational skills to lead and embed the Trust's clinical governance programme.
To be an active and vocal leader; the post holder will use highly developed clinical governance knowledge and skills to provide expert advice, recommendations and guidance to senior teams, committees, sub-groups and other forums.

Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
- Evidence of continued professional development
- At least 5 years recent senior management experience within the NHS
- Evidence of analysing complex data sources and communicating results
- Evidence of designing and delivering teaching / training courses
Desirable criteria
- Experience using and developing electronic incident reporting systems (example DatixWeb)
- Management qualification or equivalent experience
- Project Management Qualification or equivalent experience

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
