Description

The Head of Client Relationships is a key member of the Intermediaries leadership team, contributing to the overall strategy and leadership of the Intermediaries Pillar.
The Head of Client Relationships is accountable for shaping and delivering the client relationship strategy, with a specific focus on theeffective oversight, development and support for Appointed Representative (AR) clients.
This includes ensuring regulatory compliance, delivering excellent operational services and supporting wider platform development, including opportunities through geographical expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as a member of the internal regulated boards and sub-committees as required. Participant across a selection of client AR boards, acting as key escalation point across all aspects of AR oversight and management.
  • Work closely with the Intermediaries leadership team to develop and deliver the AR strategy and supporting new business production including onboarding of new clients and supporting new business production and ensuring a smooth outflow pipeline to minimise volatility in divisional results.
  • Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with clients, markets and colleagues and deliver client satisfaction.
  • Report on client strategic objectives and delivery metrics to the internal regulated boards.
  • Support the development of the European platforms and contribute to initiatives that create new business opportunities and increased reach.
  • Develop and enhance divisional reporting including KPI's, SLA's and exception reports for the purpose of playback to AR clients.
  • Responsible for managing and mitigating all aspects of allocated risk. Review and monitor risk definitions and ratings along with risk appetite tolerances, taking appropriate actions to address matters arising from exceptions or breaches.
  • Lead, coach and mentor a team, fostering a culture of excellent service delivery and strategic support to AR clients.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the confidence and willingness to support and challenge client executives on business strategic and operational issues.
  • Proven leadership experience, with strong people management and team building / motivation capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, working collaboratively to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Effective organisational skills with the ability to achieve results under pressure, adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experienced in leading within an intermediary environment, ideally with experience of both broking and MGA operations. If a choice, preference for broking experience over MGA.
  • Excellent knowledge of insurance market business trends and proven knowledge of business principles and trends.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and operational frameworks governing Appointed Representatives and Principal Firms.
  • Awareness and understanding of key system applications in the market along with connection and impact on wider business processing and reporting requirements.
