About the Role

Include Education Group are launching a new Creative Space Alternative Provision in Normanton, Derby (DE23 6WY). The Alternative Provision will be designed to support young people who need something different from mainstream education.

We are looking for a Head of Centre to lead the provision, someone who understands behaviour, relationships, and young people, and who can create a calm, structured, and inspiring environment, where students can re-engage and succeed.

This would be a great opportunity for a strong pastoral leader, behaviour specialist, or non-teaching Head of Year to step into a leadership position and shape the provision from the ground up.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading the day-to-day running of the provision
• Building a positive, consistent culture and high expectations of behaviour
• Supporting and managing staff, ensuring strong relationships and clear routines
• Working closely with schools, local authorities, and external agencies
• Overseeing Safeguarding, attendance and student wellbeing
• Supporting students with complex needs to re-engage with education

You might currently be:

• Head of Year (Non-teaching)
• Behaviour Lead / Pastoral Lead
• Inclusion Manager
• AP Practitioner ready to step up

QTS is not essential
