Head of Central Dealing

Aim and purpose of the job:
- Managing and leading the Central Dealing Team
- Liaising with the Pershing Dealing Team in relation to dealing matters for WCIM staff, IMs, and Associates
- Liaising with market counterparties, including but not limited to Market Makers, and platforms
- Administering, and where necessary enforcing, good market etiquette and adherence to FCA rules and company policies, not limited to Best Execution, PA Dealing, Trade Reporting etc.
Duties:
- Managing and training members of the Team
- Ensuring that IMs/Associates are able to use the trading services effectively. These may include the AWOL trading service, the Pershing Nexus OMS system, the Pershing Nexus Funds system, and others
- Monitoring dealing orders of the firm, including but not limited to equities, derivatives, fixed income, foreign exchange, commodities, unit trust
- Collaborating with Pershing to manage, complex dealing orders and to execute in the best possible manner whilst achieving the best possible outcome for customers
- Ensuring that all dealing activities conform to the rules and the wider market etiquette whilst also ensuring that the firm's trading remains within the parameters determined by senior management
- Regularly reviewing the trading parameters set in AWOL, Nexus OMS and other relevant systems
- Remaining abreast of regulatory changes
- Strong adherence to escalation and reporting to Line Director any information where it would be reasonable to assume to be of material significance
- Taking on other duties that my Line Director or Senior Management deems necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role.
Other Requirements:
- Detailed knowledge of major financial instruments, including but not limited to the instruments mentioned in the section above
- A proven track record of significant and extensive experience in the execution of a multitude of financial instruments, including but not limited to the instruments mentioned in the section above
- Good knowledge of how the instruments are settled, therefore trading and executing in such manner that enables successful settlement
- Expert in the UK and major European markets, good knowledge of the US and other major world markets
- Expert in the systems required for the purpose of executing or dealing in the financial instruments required by the business (including the AWOL trading system and Pershing's Nexus OMS system)
- Ability to remain current with respect to issues of regulation, new instruments and dealing techniques
- Good leadership and management ability, leading the team of Central Dealers
