Are you ready to take on a pivotal role within Royal London's Business Finance Leadership Team? We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and commercial professional to lead our business partnering services for the Annuities and Long Standing Customer (LSC) businesses. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's financial performance and decision-making through a detailed understanding of our propositions and their value for Royal London Members.

About the Role:

As the Head of Business Partnering, you will:

  • Develop a comprehensive financial understanding of our business, with a focus on our new and growing Bulk Purchase Annuity business and our established LSC business.
  • Play a leading role in performance measurement and the methodology and process through which financial performance is assessed and reported.
  • Support the development of proposition, pricing and value-enhancement strategies through an understanding of key value drivers.
  • Build and nurture relationships across the organisation to drive better outcomes.
  • Coordinate activities across the Finance function as required to support and bring challenge to the Annuities and LSC business.
  • Provide financial oversight and support for major technology and change programmes.
  • Deliver actuarial analysis on potential M&A activity and provide technical actuarial leadership in broader business change initiatives.
  • Manage and motivate your team to deliver outstanding performance.
  • Be part of the Business Finance Leadership Team and contribute to the broader objectives of the team.
  • Contribute to committees and governance forums as required to support business objectives.

About You:

We are looking for a qualified actuary with:

  • Experience in a broad range of actuarial work, preferably including life insurance product development, pricing, valuation, and capital modelling.
  • Strong commercial finance acumen with a focus on policyholder outcomes.
  • A deep understanding of financial drivers and methodologies for UK Life and Pensions organisations.
  • Knowledge of UK Life and Pension industry accounting, actuarial work and regulatory environment.
  • The ability to generate innovative ideas and communicate complex financial matters clearly.
  • A natural ability for building teams, working across boundaries and influencing others in pursuit of better outcomes.
