The Role

As Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the company's Design & Build growth strategy. This senior leadership role requires a blend of strategic vision, commercial acumen, and hands-on business development expertise. You will lead client acquisition, nurture long-term relationships, and identify new opportunities to expand the company's portfolio of high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a business development strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across design & build and refurbishment markets.
  • Lead client pitching, presentations, and negotiations to win major contracts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants, and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with directors, estimators, and project teams to ensure proposals are commercially sound and deliverable.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, and client meetings.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to the business development team.

About You

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven leader with a proven track record in business development within the design & build or construction sector.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in business development, ideally within design & build or commercial interiors.
  • Strong network of contacts within the London commercial property and workplace design sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Proven success in securing high-value contracts and building long-term client relationships.
  • Leadership skills with experience managing and motivating teams.
