Job Summary

Kiwa Agri Food is seeking a Head of Business Development to join us on a 12 month fixed-term contract. In this role, you'll provide strategic direction for business development across our core service lines: Certification, Consultancy, Inspection, and Training. You'll focus on delivering business development activities, driving results, and sourcing opportunities for our current services, whilst also exploring new service lines that align with Kiwa Agri Food's core strengths.
This role offers flexibility to work remotely or on a hybrid basis, with UK and international travel required, alongside visits to our Harrogate office.

About the role

  • Lead the development and delivery of Kiwa Agri Food's business growth strategy across our service lines.
  • Map customer needs, simplify the customer journey, and proactively convert sales opportunities.
  • Identify market gaps, develop competitive pricing structures, and expand existing value propositions.
  • Generate and convert leads for both existing and new service lines, ensuring seamless delivery with the Operations team.
  • Strengthen and expand client and scheme-owner relationships through a Key Account Management approach.
  • Provide leadership and support to the Sales Executive, ensuring delivery of growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with the SMT and Scheme Managers to design and deliver compelling national and international proposals.
  • Support the Kiwa UK marketing team to raise Kiwa Agri Food's profile.
  • Represent Kiwa UK at leading industry conferences in Food Safety.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Proven experience in driving market growth, opening new markets and launching new services.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and delivering profitability targets.
  • Skilled in managing customer, employee, and shareholders expectations.
  • The ability to work cohesively with all stageholders for a mutual outcome.
  • Self-starting, with the ability to work independently and achive ambitious targets.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Resilient, dynamic, and results-driven, with the ability to inspire change, lead teams, and support cultural evolution within the business.
  • Willingness to traven frequently when required.

What can you expect from us in return?

  • £48,441 - £55,371 per annum
  • £5040 Car Allowance

  • 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, hybrid/remote with frequent travel (UK, internationally and to our Harrogate office), flexible working pattern
