Job summary

The purpose of this position is to lead the local finance- and business controlling teams in Bugle and Rochdale and act as a trusted finance business partner to the production site directors and the UK operational management in general. The role is responsible for managing a small team, ensuring sound financial management of production in the UK.

Responsibilities and duties
• Lead the controlling teams and development of skills to ensure sustainable financial operations and strengthening finance business partnering ability in the UK sites.
• Budget and forecasting for production sites in the UK in collaboration with production management.
• Weekly and Monthly follow-up on production costs and KPIs, incl. management presentations
• Regular performance reviews in coordination with production management.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives, focused on reducing/eliminating operational/cost inefficiencies.
• Coordinate production financials into UK total P&L with Commercial Finance.
• Standardise ways of working in close collaboration with Finance in Denmark.
• Maintain and strengthen controls and procedures, identifying and implement opportunities for process and systems improvements.
• Manage and promote use of reporting tools and proactively drive improvements to ensure they continue to provide relevant business information.
• Own standard costs for the UK and work closely with DK to ensure accuracy
• Cover site controllers for weekly/monthly reporting and weekly review meetings
• Own the pricing models for Lidl and Tesco, along with supporting commercial team on tenders
• Manager the Company car scheme and administration
• Monitor capital expediture
• Invoice and Purchase Order approval
• Energy pricing reviews with Denmark
• Processing ESG submissions in line with requirements

Job requirements
• A strong background in financial management, business controlling, and operational P&L management, preferably in a food production company
• Proven ability to lead, build, and develop high-performing finance teams
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, across different levels and stakeholder groups.
• High operational and ethical integrity as well as the ability to work independently and proactively
• Ability to business partner and communicate with non-finance stakeholders effectively and articulately.
• Occasional travel to other sites is required
• Strong IT literacy, experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
