About the role:

Step into a role where teamwork and practicality meet to drive change. As part of our team, you'll collaborate closely with senior leaders to identify and prioritise initiatives in our Change Plan, ensuring they're in sync with our goals.

You'll lead the charge in making sure changes happen smoothly and quickly, keeping an eye on how they affect everyone involved and adjusting as needed. Tracking progress with straightforward metrics, you'll work with departments and stakeholders to make sure our efforts are paying off.

Building solid relationships with those affected, where you'll play a vital role in shaping transformative changes from a customer-centric viewpoint, collaborating closely with those involved ensuring these changes fit and add real value. This could be changes that impact our clients or your colleagues. When things get bumpy, you'll also be there to spot and solve problems before they become big issues.

Teaming up with Learning and Development, you'll make sure everyone's on board with the changes through clear communication and practical training.

About you:

You'll have a proven track record of driving transformational change from a leadership position, demonstrating your ability to navigate through complex initiatives with agility and finesse. With your adeptness in agile project management, you'll seamlessly guide change initiatives through their entire lifecycle, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness at every step.

Your commercial acumen will shine as you prioritise and shape change initiatives, always keeping an eye on delivering maximum value while minimizing costs. You'll bring a creative spark to the table, leveraging customer journey mapping to innovate and tailor solutions that truly resonate with our stakeholders.

Crafting seamless experiences, you'll ensuring the design of change has been understood by all stakeholders, allowing a frictionless transaction keeping our customer experience excellence to the highest standards.

Leading and inspiring teams through periods of change will be second nature to you, drawing upon your demonstrated ability to manage diverse staff and drive outcomes with speed and precision. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will serve as your secret weapons, allowing you to influence stakeholders at all levels across the organisation with ease.

You would ideally live a commutable distance from our Head Office in Cheltenham as you will be required to attend weekly meetings in person. You could be based in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Bristol, West Midlands, Oxfordshire, Reading or surrounding counties. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with senior leaders to identify and prioritise change initiatives within our Change Plan.
  • Manage the change process to optimise speed to result. Monitor the impact of changes on colleagues and the organisation, adjusting strategies as needed to address challenges.
  • Use metrics and measures to track and report on the progress of change initiatives. Collaborate with department heads and key stakeholders to integrate change initiatives and realise return on investment.
  • Build relationships and work closely with stakeholders to ensure change is anchored in the client or colleague experience and focuses on the value delivered.
  • Designing change from the customer perspective will be essential to building frictionless experiences for clients and colleagues alike.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential risks associated with change initiatives.
  • In collaboration with Learning and Development, develop and deliver communication and deliver training that supports the adoption of change initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage colleagues to embrace change to drive growth and innovation.
  • Configure multidisciplined teams to deliver change and ensure change initiatives are integrated with other business processes and initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external change experts and vendors to stay abreast of best practice and emerging trends.
  • Provide visionary leadership in driving cultural transformation and organisational change.

Essential skills and experience

  • Proven experience of delivering transformational change in a leadership role.
  • Agile project management experience across the full change initiative lifecycle.
  • Commercial skills to prioritise and shape change initiatives to deliver maximum value, at lowest cost.
  • A mindset to innovate using customer journey mapping and persona mapping.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams through periods of change.
  • Experience managing staff of different disciplines to drive outcomes at pace.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels across the organisation.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience of working in financial/professional services.
  • Lean and six sigma experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of agile change management tools e.g. scrum boards.

Salary and benefits

up to £70,000 depending on experience (negotiable) and a car allowance.
