Job Description

Experian data is central to the automation and efficiency of consumer lending in the UK. For our clients and consumers to realise the value of the data, Experian must continue to develop the practice in which we leverage analytics to turn data into features, attributes and scores for simple and effective interpretation. As the Head of of Bureau Analytics, you will be responsible for the strategic definition of how we do that whilst leading a team.

You will also be vigilantly adapting to changes in client needs and regulation, leveraging advances in technology, techniques and data availability. You will be monitoring our existing estate of scores and attributes to support the product leadership in meeting their client and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Developing the Analytics strategy for Experian's suite of generic bureau scores and attributes including both risk and affordability use cases.
  • Own and develop the governance procedures that ensure that the products are compliant with UK regulation framework and Experian's stringent risk management framework.
  • Co-ordinate R&D for new data and methodologies that can bring value to our customers in both B2B and D2C channels.
  • Leverage the wider Experian analytics and Data Science capabilities (Including Data Labs and Analytics Delivery Hub) to test and build new ideas.
  • Build a network both within and outside of Experian to connect the Analytical strategy to market need. Ultimate responsibility for the product requirements is owned by the product team but the individual is expected to influence their decisions.
  • Continue focus on automation of monitoring tasks at scale.

Qualifications

  • Numerate degree or relevant experience
  • Experience of working within the Financial Services either within a lender or a credit risk agency.
  • Experience in developing analytical models combined with an in-depth understanding of bureau data and the use cases.
  • Excellent team leadership skills
  • Awareness and understanding of the UK&I (Financial Services and Data) regulatory landscape particularly the domains of the FCA, PRA and ICO.
  • Innovation driven in a data and analytics environment.
