Head of Brand Management

Lead and coach the Brand Management team, leveraging producer and market knowledge to guide the strategic direction of Brand Management at Liberty Wines. Collaborate with other departments to manage relationships with producers and our extensive wine portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and motivate the Brand Management team to achieve outstanding results, establishing clear responsibilities and aligning the objectives with the company's strategy.
- Oversee the Liberty Wines portfolio and set priorities, managing relationships with key producers and ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
- Monitor and maximize the commercial success of producer activities and brand plans and review performance of producers and marketing activity (trips, days in trade, etc.) to identify opportunities and address issues
- Develop and implement launch programs for new producers and products.
- Identify and capitalise on commercial opportunities by channel, region and account base
- Collaborate with the Buying department to identify and integrate new key producers
- Provide commercial support to the Sales team, including key account pitches, business and competitor analysis.
- Work with the Copywriter, Marketing Support and other relevant teams to ensure producer communications are accurate and compelling
- Manage the Brand Management budget
- Foster a culture of shared learning, collaboration and commitment to sustainability and excellence
About you
- Extensive brand management experience in the UK wine industry working with both customers and producers. Understanding of the premium on-trade and independent off-trade vital
- A clear and effective written and verbal communicator. Able to build relationships with, influence, and handle sensitive situations with a variety of individuals.
- Excellent wine knowledge and empathy with WSET level 3 or above
- Language skills (Italian, French or, particularly, Spanish)
- Commercially astute. Able to interpret and take action based on sales/stock/other performance data.
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail. Comfortable managing a fast-paced workload.
- Good IT skills, including PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience leading and coaching a successful team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong strategic vision with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Good knowledge of IT systems including excel
