Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse
- Post registration nursing course in speciality
- Recognized teaching qualification
- Degree or ability to think and practice at degree level with extensive experience
Desirable criteria
- Leadership qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Substantial experience at Band 6 level
- People management experience
- Effective clinical leadership and experience in the management of change
- Experience of working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience of formal and informal teaching
- Ability to recognise when help or escalation is needed
Desirable criteria
- Recent experience of data collection and audit
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound knowledge of the principles and practice of specialist care
- Ability to lead change / innovations in specialist practice
- Organisational / prioritisation skills
- Ability to work autonomously and independently
- Experience of involvement with Safeguarding concerns
- Excellent problem solving skills

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
