Group Tax Reporting Manager

What you'll do
The Group Tax Reporting ('GTR') team is responsible for delivering the annual cycle of external and internal tax reporting including for half-year, and year-end external financial reporting, and effective tax rate ('ETR') and cash-tax forecasting. In addition the GTR team is responsible for delivering the group's annual Country by Country Reporting ('CbCR') and Global minimum tax compliance ('Pillar 2'), as well as producing Vodafone's Total Economic Contribution reports. Under the guidance of the Head of Group Tax Reporting & Technology ('HoGT&T') this role will lead in the delivery of a number of aspects of half-year and year-end group tax reporting, including specifically in the operation of SOX controls. The role will further lead on preparing and delivering aspects of our internal tax forecasting, and the CbCr and Pillar 2 compliance.
Assist, and lead on aspects of:
- The preparation of the group's effective tax rate calculations, deferred tax calculations, and disclosures.
- Be able to rationalise and sumarise information for senior stakeholders. Be able to challenge explanations and assumptions.
- In-year and future year ETR and cash-tax forecasting and scenario planning
- Operating evidence led tax SOX controls, and managing statutory audit compliance.
- Pillar 2 Global minimum tax compliance.
- The group's external Total Economic Contribution report.
Who you are
- ACA/ACCA/CTA or equivalent with 5 years' experience, including experience with +2 years experience in tax accounting/reporting
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel is desirable.
- Strong written and oral skills, be able to effectively communicate explanations, issues and proposed solutions to diverse audiences. Be able to type 40 or more words per minute
- Exceptional organisational skills, in being able to manage concurrent workstreams and internal and external stakeholders, such as our statutory auditors
- Experience operating SOX controls.
