As a Group Support Volunteer within the Programmes Team at either Retford or Worksop, you will work with people who use our services; encouraging, teaching and motivating them to get where they want to be.
Responsibilities
This is great opportunity for someone to be part of making a difference to people's lives. You will use your skills and experience, together with group techniques you will learn, to support people to maintain a successful change in their life.
As a Group Support Volunteer, you will play an important role in supporting the experienced Programmes Team facilitator in the planning, preparation, and delivery of group sessions.
You will be engaging with people to support them to attend the groups and will be provided with training to enhance and support your skills.
You will take part in sessional de-briefs, reviews, and development of learning materials.
The roles will support the Programmes Team, engaged in work known as psychosocial intervention groups. We specifically need volunteers to work with us at Retford on Tuesdays, and Worksop each weekday except Thursdays. We will discuss your availability and preference for location at interview, groups currently run during morning and afternoon sessions. Please note the hours available are during the day and you should have regular availability to consistently engage with a particular group.
You will need a proficiency in IT sufficient to handle emails, research and place entries on our patient records system, and participate in online learning and meetings.
Retford is a community facility operated out of the main area hub at Worksop. Staff and volunteers are required to attend Worksop on occasions for meetings, training, and supervision.
Expenses incurred as a result of volunteering will be reimbursed by Change Grow Live.
The nature of this work necessitates a criminal record check at enhanced level, for this you will require three forms of identification document.
We are unable to support UK visa applications and residency.
Interviews will take place soon after the closing date.
