We're recruiting a Senior Finance Analyst to join us at Kingfisher, working within the Group Financial Planning & Analysis function in Paddington. The FP&A team are responsible for carrying out strategic performance analysis and providing critical insight across our Banners (B&Q, Screwfix, Castorama etc...) to generate relevant discussion and drive management action at executive level. We also work closely with other teams both in and outside of finance such as Responsible Business, supporting and aligning the finance elements for Kingfisher's Net Zero commitment and Investor Relations, in supporting our shareholder and external communications. The successful candidate will routinely interact with the Director of FP&A and the Finance Director of Group Finance. The role requires elements of partnering with our Responsible Business team as well as finance partners across both our Banners and Global Functions.

What's the job?

  • Preparation of high quality, concise and insightful P&L, cash flow and balance sheet analysis for senior partners on variances, key themes and longer term trends
    • Design charts, tables and dashboards to present complex financial information in a concise manner
    • Prepare slides and analysis suitable for Board and Exec level presentations
    • Perform analysis of trends using data sourced from multiple sources
    • Support Investor Relations with provision of financial analysis, insight and metrics
  • Identify and drive improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards
  • Build relationships with key partners across the business
  • Partner with the Responsible Business team in support of Kingfisher's ESG agenda, modelling the impacts of our climate commitments, supporting ever evolving ESG reporting requirements (e.g. TCFD) and understanding the business impacts of our Climate Transition plans

What you'll bring

  • Qualified accountant - ACCA/ACA/CIMA
  • Experience and strong interest in financial analysis and visualisation (Excel/ PowerPoint/ BI tools)
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Naturally curious with a desire to question and challenge information presented
  • Can take direction and will look to implement modelling best practice in their tasks
