Job Purpose:

As Group Senior Category Buyer, you'll be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement of Repairs & Maintenance materials and services, ensuring that our cinemas run seamlessly and cost-effectively.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Define & implement the Facilities Management procurement strategy across Europe, ensuring targets are met, and maintaining direct alignment to the overall company objectives & strategy
  • Facilitate all procurement category needs; from total cost reduction, improving the quality of supply, mitigating supply base risk, and promoting procurement good practice
  • Drive engagement and work collaboratively with the Operations and Facilities Management stakeholders; providing market insight, and leading on sourcing requirements, contract plans and procurement projects
  • Lead by example within the procurement team, wider ODEON business and supply base to ensure cultural values are embedded and maintained
  • Deliver best value procurement by analysing market intelligence, budgets, supplier spend & costs in order to identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and achieve best price
  • Manage risk levels across the supply base to keep safe & protect ODEON colleagues, guests and suppliers
  • Consider the overall ESG impact of the supply chain in order to support ODEON Cinema Group's ethical, compliance and sustainability targets
  • Develop key supplier relationships, monitor key supplier performance, and ensure service level agreements & KPIs are met

Key Skills:

  • Solid background in purchasing a wide range of goods & services, predominantly within Facilities Management
  • Experience of working within a European or multi-territory organisation would be desirable
  • Strategic mindset within a commercial environment; Ability to draft & issue Invitation to Tenders to suppliers; analysing tender documentation.
  • Good understanding of contract law with in-depth experience of negotiating high value contracts
  • Ability to work within in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment
  • Well organised, flexible and strong emphasis on accuracy & detail
  • Strong communication & developed influencing skills; with an ability to "take people with you".
  • Comprehensive analytical & PC skills
  • Supplier Management - proven track record of influencing suppliers to get the "best deal"
  • Ability to develop supplier relationship management standards, and monitor supplier & contract management processes to ensure all suppliers meet our ethical and compliance standards
  • Flexibility for some European travel on a quarterly basis
