This position is open to current Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) staff only.
A temporary Group Manager position has arisen to join the project team delivering the reintroduction of the Fire Control function back into service here in Suffolk. We anticipate the temporary opportunity being in place until the 30 April 2025.
We are looking for applications from existing Station Managers on the Group Manager Pathway, and transfer requests from existing Group Managers looking to explore a new and exciting opportunity as a member of the team delivering this key project. You will be required to support the Station Manager Control to review policy, process and special procedures that shape future ways of working for SFRS. Providing managerial support to the wider control room team and work with the wider service and leadership team to cascade and embed these changes.
The successful applicant will continue to provide FDS response cover at their current level.

- Question 4: The introduction of the new fire control will see changes to ways of working in both operations and support processes. Please explain how you will develop and cascade these new approaches across the service.
