The Role:
The Group IT Project Manager - (PMS), will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a variety of Practice Management Systems (PMS) projects across the Group. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while aligning with the Group's strategic goals. Working closely with the Group Portfolio Manager, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders, the Project Manager will drive high-quality outcomes that enhance the Group's technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and deliver a selection of PMS and IT projects, ensuring alignment with the Group's strategic priorities and standards.
- Define clear project scopes, objectives, resource plans, and deliverables, engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party suppliers to ensure smooth and timely execution of project activities.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, timelines, risks, and issues, escalating appropriately where required.
- Report regularly on project progress, risks, and benefits to the Group Portfolio Manager and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to the Group's project governance framework and promote best practice in project delivery.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive delivery of measurable outcomes, tracking benefits realisation and post-implementation success.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management tools, templates, and methodologies across the IT function.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Demonstrated experience in managing business aligned technical projects in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies and governance frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, plans, and risks effectively.
- Experience working with internal teams and external suppliers or partners.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Experience of managing project interdependencies within a wider portfolio context.
