The role of Group Financial Reporting Manager is really important to us. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our growing Finance team to bring further integrity, consistency and rigour to our finance reporting and processes as the business evolves.
Your responsibilities day to day will be...
External Audit
- Co-ordinating the annual Audit process for the Radius Group (71+ legal entities) acting as a primary contact between the Group and our external auditors in the planning and execution of the Group's audit including:
- Setting an audit timetable agreed with external advisers.
- The communication of clear year-end instructions.
- Tracking and monitoring the provision of information to advisors.
- Weekly meetings with advisors to ensure the timetable remains on track and highlight any risks in a timely manner.
Statutory Accounts (UK & Ireland)
- Responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts in CCH account production software and disclosure packs for all UK and Ireland legal entities (27+).
- Preparing the Group's two sets of consolidated statutory accounts under both FRS102 and IFRS.
- Liaising with the CFO to prepare the front-end (including narrative reporting) for the Radius Group statutory accounts.
- Liaising with the Group Tax team in the preparation of corporation tax charges and disclosures in the statutory accounts for the UK and Ireland.
Technical Support
- Keeping up to date on latest technical developments (such as Narrative Reporting, Energy & Carbon Reporting, Sustainability etc).
- Providing technical support and updates to the wider Finance team on any accounting standard changes.
- Developing and maintaining a Group Accounting Policy manual, ensuring consistency of accounting treatment across the Group.
Compliance
- Liaising with the Company Secretary / Legal team on the Group structure (including new legal entities, dissolved legal entities, group restructuring, legal entity name changes) and instruct the annual filing of statutory returns, preparation of Board minutes for audit exemptions, and filing of the Irish and dormant subsidiary accounts etc.
Other
- Undertaking a lease review for any new leases / lease renewals and performing IFRS16 calculations on a quarterly basis.
- Liaising with the Divisional Finance teams to prepare IFRS15 Revenue calculations on a quarterly basis.
Experience / qualifications required:
- ACA or ACCA qualified Chartered Accountant
- Considerable financial and statutory accounting experience is essential.
- Experience in a multi-entity organisation preferable.
- A logical thinker and problem solver
- Excellent attention to detail
- Embraces and drives change.
- Organised and able to manage workload / deadlines.
- Good communicator both inside and outside of Finance
