Group Financial Accountant you will play a pivotal role within the Financial Control team, responsible for the accurate and timely production of P&L and B/S month end reporting, including the production of complex financial disclosure notes and control schedules. The role holder will have their own areas of the management accounts where they will be responsible for producing information in line with the Financial Control Framework. The role is crucial for ensuring the full management and delivery of the Group's financial reporting, both statutory and management related, whilst ensuring accuracy and control.
Stakeholder management is key and you will be responsible for developing and nurturing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Core responsibilities will also span supporting the year end audit and quarterly interims accounts for investors.
As a Group Financial Accountant you will be:
- Responsible for the preparation of accurate Month End Reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries
- Preparing detailed balance sheet analysis and accompanying MI
- Managing Group Consolidation through building and maintaining key control schedules
- Upholding key controls that form part of the Financial Control Framework, ensuring an effective control environment
- Managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Responsible for Month-End accounting for current and new hedging instruments
- Accounting for Special Purpose Debt Vehicles
- Managing IFRS9 expected credit loss process and controls
Qualifications
Essential:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technical Accounting experience
- Good knowledge of GL accounting systems, cashbook and purchase ledger systems
- Ability to work with stakeholders to identify requirements and appropriate solutions
