Job Description

As a Group Ethics Manager/Senior Manager you will be responsible for helping lead and support the implementation, management, and oversight of Entain's various Ethics & Compliance (E&C) workstreams and to drive forward a best-in-class ethical culture at Entain. There is a need to recruit an experienced compliance manager to the business which will provide the individual with extensive opportunities to broaden, expand and refine their compliance expertise.

Reporting to the Group Ethics Director you will be part of the legal, Compliance and Regulatory team

Reporting to the Group Ethics Director and working collaboratively with other team members this individual will gain the opportunity to work across the whole business, engaging with colleagues across the globe. There is a real opportunity to be a key person in building and developing a best-in-class E&C function, working to improve understanding of the commercial difference and impact a strong E&C programme can make.

This role requires an understanding of typical listed-company E&C frameworks, policies, and initiatives to help drive progress, continuous improvement, and data analysis, focusing on a core set of compliance risks (bribery, corruption, conflicts of interest, competition law, sanctions, modern slavery, fraud and tax evasion). The role also requires excellent stakeholder management across business, tech, and operations teams.

What you will do

  • Supporting the development and implementation of a strategic training and communications plan and liaising with internal training resources to schedule and deliver engaging and innovative global policy training (help organize translations, internal communications, etc.) using a variety of formats and channels and best practice to improve the training year-on-year
  • Developing and delivering engaging face-to-face training sessions to key teams across Entain
  • Managing and developing the automated gifts and hospitality and conflict of interests reporting systems including developing metrics, KPIs and upward reporting
  • Managing senior employee annual compliance declarations
  • Leading on our policy governance framework (ensuring consistency, templates, tracking approvals, editing policies, drafting, running the policy working and steering groups), as well as leading on the management and updating of our Code of Conduct
  • Updating the content of our E&C intranet site, viva Engage channel and internet pages with interesting and engaging content (policies, blogs, articles, new developments, etc.)
  • Managing and updating the overall E&C program implementation tracker, and helping produce internal reporting in that regard

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience developing, facilitating, and tracking training in a compliance role.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, proactive monitoring and reviewing legislation/enforcement actions in order to help ensure accurate and up-to-date inventories of all legal obligations.
  • Extensive compliance experience in a multinational corporate setting (FTSE ideally) with a demonstrated understanding of all elements of compliance in relation to risk assessments, tone from the top/culture, training and communications, third party risk management, appropriate policies, procedures and controls, monitoring, assurance and review.
  • Demonstrated high standards of professionalism, performance, quality, credibility, and integrity. Exhibits judgment and business acumen necessary to effectively advocate for the E&C program.
  • Excellent interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong presentation skills required.
  • Ability to work independently within a small team
