In this role you will be reporting to the Head of Brand Marketing, you'll be our Brand Champion across our portfolio of businesses to ensure brand proposition, values, identity, and design are consistently recognisable through all the customer touchpoints via strong guardrails. Our exciting portfolio of businesses stretches across Cruise, Travel, Insurance Media and Personal Finance.

As the brand expert and key collaborator for marketers and agencies throughout the content and campaign development process, this role is focused on ensuring that our brand is being brought to life correctly and consistently.

Using consumer insight, you will support in the development and successful implementation of our communications strategy with integrated campaigns including partnerships and PR to deliver engagement and consideration, laddering through to response executions.

This is a strategic role in brand, you will be working across a matrix organisation with an exciting journey of new launches ahead. This role will play a pivotal role in Saga's brand transformation.

** Remote/home working ** Saga work a hybrid approach requiring some team days in our London office. You will need to be within a reasonable commuting distance to London, Kings Cross Hub to undertake this role.

Role Responsibility

Joining us as our Group Brand Manager, you will be seen as the Brand Guardian across the whole business. Ensuring Saga's brand proposition, values, identity and design are consistently recognisable through all our customer touchpoints.

Your key areas of responsibility will be to;

  • become the subject matter expert on the Saga brand.
  • ensure that business units and cross functional teams are supported in rolling out enhancements to visual identity and tone of voice across all touch points.
  • be proactive in evolving the brand guidelines, anticipating future requirements, and ensuring the brand remains fresh and relevant.
  • manage the ongoing development of brand guidelines portal. Keeping examples and templates up to date, responding to challenges within the business to help guide ongoing delivery and development of the brand visual identity, tone of voice and photography.
  • ensure regular updates and training of teams across the business to help immerse and educate teams in use of brand guidelines.
  • work proactively with key stakeholders to drive a culture of continual improvement and be seen as a trusted advisor.
  • partner with the business unit teams to deliver brand presentations and workshops to train marketers and agencies on the Saga brand and guidelines.
  • develop and deliver Brand PR plan including partnerships & events.
  • support the development and successful implementation of integrated campaigns across the business.
  • understand and help support the embedding of findings from the brand review across the teams using findings to help prioritise the role for brand communications and proposition development.

The Ideal Candidate

We are keen to appoint an exceptional Brand Expert, who has previously worked on a large consumer facing brand. You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience;

  • Can demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for Brand Management and the experience of a proven customer-first attitude.
  • Has been involved in the roll out of previous brand transformation programmes.
  • Can manage brand campaigns including production development and knowledge of media planning integrated campaigns.
  • Has been responsible for the management and consistency of evolving brand guidelines within a large organisation.
  • A confident communicator and proactive collaborator, able to maintain and build relationships internally and externally.
  • Has strong networking skills: Management of stakeholder relationships to build positive alliances.
  • Be naturally curious and interested in the market demographic audience at Saga.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and drive a project from brief to delivery.
  • Consistent track record of handling budgets and forward planning.
  • Has excellent project management skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and research requests with demanding deadlines.
