Group Accounting Manager

The Role
To drive accurate monthly reporting across Central business functions through cost analysis and business partnering, supporting the wider business planning, reporting and decision-making processes.
Duties Include:
- Overseeing preparation of monthly management accounts for central functions.
- Reviewing monthly performance analytics and reports.
- Facilitating European Group management accounts & reporting.
- Ownership of accounting period controls.
- Review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Providing support and driving consistency of accounting practices and cost allocation.
- Support/lead one-off and recurring projects and analysis as required by the business.
- Managing a team of 3 accountants / finance assistants.
- Clean audit delivery
- Support preparation of year end statutory accounts and tax computations.
Skills & Experience Required:
- ACA qualified accountant with at least two years' industry experience.
- FMCG and manufacturing background desirable - ideally international.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills together with working knowledge of SAP accounting software would be beneficial.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyse and summarise complex information.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high quality and reliability of deliverables.
- Organisation skills along with ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to discuss and explain financial information with colleagues who do not have financial background.
- Ability to work well in a team, within the group accounting team as well as the wider business.
