The Role

At AMS, we're building teams that are curious, collaborative, and committed to doing great work. We're looking for a Graduate Recruiter - Banking who enjoys learning and values teamwork.
Graduate Recruiter - Banking manages the recruitment of Graduates via Internships and early engagement pipelines into appropriate roles within the business in EMEA and to support the Emerging Talent Lead.
This is a hybrid opportunity: 3 days/week Client office in London.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for emerging talent recruitment for the UK, which could include fulfilling recruitment pipelines for Graduate, Off-Cycle and Summer Internships.
- Responsible for the direct line management of the Graduate Recruitment Co-Ordinator/Junior Recruiter.
- Manage candidate pipelines for each of their roles, ensuring a strong grasp on the MI details/YoY trends and ensuring an overall positive candidate experience.
- Must have a strong focus on data and MI, understanding and interpreting pipelines and having the ability to make judgement calls to assist with CIB diversity and inclusion targets.
- Contribute towards the UK marketing strategy for HSBC CIB with internal Attraction and Marketing teams - responsible for bespoke CIB activities/media for UK.
- Development and management of campus events at target universities across the UK and continental Europe, including management of business representation.
- Work with other Recruiters and business clients to understand recruitment needs and develop plans - this includes mapping out Assessment Centres to fulfil hiring requirements and ensuring assessors are fully trained and proportionately representative of our colleague diversity.
- Facilitate the recruitment and selection process, leading the assessor and candidate briefings, as well as the decision-making process at Assessment Centres (wash ups).
- Work with CIB Onboarding Team throughout candidate onboarding, ensuring that they understand Employment legislation related to graduate recruitment, including visas, work permits, compliance and regulatory considerations.
- Management of the Summer Internship for (Line of Business) - ensuring the business are engaged and collaborated with, fully prepared and line managers trained - providing ongoing business partnering support throughout the entire programme, including determining the assessment tools used to make hiring decisions for the graduate programme at the mid-point and end-point calibrations, which you will host and run.
- Work in tandem with Recruiter colleagues in EMEA, APAC and the US to ensure knowledge of global recruitment.
Training and Development
- Work closely with the Graduate Development Advisors to manage the workload of the Graduate Recruitment & Development Co-Ordinator and to ensure that all successful EMEA internship conversions have a seamless experience/introduction to the Graduate Development Advisor ahead of starting on the Global Graduate Programme.
- Ensure that the representatives are appropriately equipped and trained for any candidate touchpoints, including but not limited to; Assessments, University Campus activities, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives/programmes during the Summer and Off-Cycle internship programmes.
- Share best practice with Graduate Development Advisor on running internships and ensure expertise and input with regards to training and development on internship programmes are worked on in collaboration.
- The Recruiter will also provide expertise and input in respect to the rotational processes, assessments and calibrations, and post-offer for both Summer and Off-Cycle internships
- The Recruiter will be provided with expertise and guidance from the Graduate Development Advisor in respect of internship line manager preparation and training, external vendor training and development plans.
Global and Local Communication /Team working
- Continuously learn about HSBC's brand and culture.
- Support and share ideas with HSBC graduate recruitment community.
- Develop working relationship with the business and develop line of business product knowledge, thus continuing the professionalism and reputation of HR.
Skills & Requirements
- Previous experience of working in Early Careers/Campus Recruitment is essential.
- Strong knowledge of the current internal and external student/graduate recruitment landscape.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PPT, Teams) and Zoom.
- Experience of HR systems / databases - such as candidate management systems / applicant tracking systems.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
