Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent

Could you manage and strategically develop the provision of support for Leicester City school governing bodies?

As a leader you'll focus on inspiring, motivating and getting the best out of your teams and to make sure they have everything they need to deliver the best outcomes for the people of Leicester. It's not just about knowing the technical aspects of your role - although, of course, you do need to understand the complexities of school governance and operation of schools.

But more importantly, it's up to you to make sure your people have a framework that enables them to deliver on the teams' priorities. Because, by putting your people at the heart of everything you do, you'll ensure we enhance life for everyone in our great city. So, as a leader it's your responsibility to put your people first. In return, we'll give you autonomy over your work to ensure you produce the right outcomes for the children and schools you support. That means you'll have the scope to challenge the status quo, question the way we do things and introduce appropriate innovation to improve results. In short, you'll lead us into the future.

Your role will focus on three main areas delivering statutory responsibilities, traded services and implementing related improvement strategies.

This means interpreting legislation, drawing up policies and procedures. Which you then communicate to a range of governors and head teachers. Being clear on actions required. Listening to issues and then not only developing. But delivering training that fits your audience appropriately.

Working with our governors to improve knowledge and quality assurance systems to monitor performance indicators. All contributing to the LA's School Improvement Framework and strategic plans. Particularly in relation to school governance and intervention via the Schools Causing Concern statutory guidance.
