Role Description
Join our dynamic team as a Governance Risk and Assurance Analyst, where you'll leverage your technical and discipline knowledge to make a significant impact. This role offers exciting development opportunities, emphasizing project management and the ability to influence others. Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid working model in our Guildford Office, and occasional travel as needed.
This advertisement is for two positions: one full-time role requiring 35 hours per week with three days in the office, and one part-time role requiring 21 hours per week with one day in the office.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £48,000 per year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
- You will be assisting in maintaining governance, risk, and assurance (GRA) frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Supporting the preparation of reports and dashboards for management and governance committees.
- Helping coordinate governance activities across departments.
- Supporting risk identification through the Group's Information Risk Management process and assessment processes across the business.
- Tracking and maintaining risk registers, key risk indicators (KRIs), and issue logs.
- Assisting in preparing materials for risk workshops and stakeholder discussions.
- Performing control testing activities in accordance with the established testing schedule and methodology.
- Evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls.
- Conducting walkthroughs and gathering evidence to support control testing conclusions.
- Documenting control testing procedures, results, and findings.
- Providing support for internal/external audits and regulatory reviews.
- Monitoring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Supporting the collation and analysis of data for risk and assurance reporting.
- Contributing ideas for improving risk management and assurance processes.
- Staying informed of industry developments and governance best practices.
Essential Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Proficiency in GRC tools and software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.

Desirable Skills
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies and compliance frameworks, preferably COBIT.
- Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CISSP are preferred.
- Advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in GRC, Audit, information security, risk management, or a related field.
