Job Description

Nokia is seeking a seasoned defense leader for a role of Global SOF Solution Director (Warfare Development [WARDEV] / Operational Technology). This critical position will be at the forefront of developing and delivering cutting-edge communication solutions tailored for Special Operations Forces (SOF), ensuring mission success in complex and high-threat environments.

Responsibilities

• Leads the creation and development of end-to-end solutions, optimising the use of Nokia's multi-BG and BL portfolios to achieve the customer vision and requirements. Ensures the alignment of the end-to-end solution offering with the BG's respective product roadmaps as well as revenue and cost allocations. Drives the maturity of the solution towards industrialised offering and delivery, while ensuring both best-in-class solutions and high profitability. Is the prime marketer and promoter of the solution across all markets.
• Deep expert knowledge of UK MOD procurement process (35yrs+)
• Instructed on Special User financial flows (CADMID process / Annual Budget Cycle / Operational Budgets)
• Commercial experience supporting operations with capability delivery - informing and engaging with commercial partners to establish contracts.
• Knowledge of framework contracts and of public sectors contract award.
• Ability to grow, lead and manage a WarDev capability department for Nokia to support the Specialist User and Partners Across Government for National Security.
• Thought leadership of the application of 3GGP.
• Advanced knowledge of Specialist Reconnaissance capability.
• 5VEY and NATO experience of capability development and managing international relationships.
• Extant relationships with International SOF (in key appointments); trusted and credible.
• Significant Military experience (exercise and operations) and integrating new and novel capability
• Defence Vetting / Direct access to user
• Support the CTO office with Concept Development, User Requirements and operational feedback.
• Operationalise the Nokia technologies and generate innovative solutions to operational problems.
