The Global Social Media Manageris responsible for creating and delivering high-quality industry content through social channels to optimise followers, exposure, education and ultimately create lead generation funnels for our products and services on a global scale. This role will be responsible for deliveries across all customer segments, including B2B and B2B2C financial services products. Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing, you will be working on strategic placement and campaigns for growth. This role is an opportunity to engage with some of the most experienced and insightful experts in the financial field and share their insights of thought-leadership to attract new business leads with the content dynamics needed. By expanding our reach thoroughly into the social area field (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc), the position will support our endeavour to be a global authority on the markets.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill the role of Social Media Manger (functional outputs) for the UK and EMEA and manage a global team including social media managers in the US and APAC and a YouTube manager
  • Direct content creation for business segments as aligns with strategic objectives
  • Create content related to industry-level interests
  • Synthesize long-form and/or complex market research for different social platforms
  • Direct Social Media team in the USA and APAC regions to develop macro content for their regions and business segments
  • Work alongside team members that make up the global social media support teams: copy, content, commentary, ORM, HR, design and video
  • Monitor and analyse trends in social handles to better optimize for engagement and follower yearly growth targets, and work with the Media team to establish our monthly budget for follower acquisition on each platform.
  • Ensure coverge leverages existing tools, processes, and content to support market participants' audience development utilizing StoneX resources (Market Intelligence, Fintech product lines etc.) with an emphasis on all areas of the business.
  • Consolidate data and findings every month for a global report 1-page slide that is shared across the business units.
  • Develop and manage social media content calendar, ensuring timely, relevant posts with months ahead evergreen, prioritizing topical/market-reactive posts when necessary
  • Develop and disseminate social media content from multiple internal and external sources as well as delegate and manage the social media team including other executives, and specialists
  • Use social media management tools such as Sprout Social for data
  • Liaise with product managers, account executives, business unit headss, brokers/traders to develop new social media programs
  • Incorporate SEO best practices across social platforms
  • Stay up to date with social media best practices, trends, and technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field required.
  • Financial writing and solid knowledge of the industry required
  • Extensive years developing content and promoting it effectively (against measureable KPI's) through social media channels
  • Experience creating and managing multiple social media content calendars
  • Experience creating and executing social media campaigns
  • Understanding of social media analytics, measurement, and reporting
  • Must be highly detailed and pay special attention to delivering error-free work
  • Outstanding multitasking, time-management, and communications skills
  • Critical and creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Great communicator and team player. Proven stakeholder management experience required.
  • Practical knowledge of PPC, SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Ability to identify areas of weakness or potential problems and quickly implement problem-solving strategies to rectify the situation
  • Strong analytical skills, i.e., the ability to analyse results to determine key findings
