We are looking for a smart and ambitious risk management professional to join Amazon's Global Retirement & Investments team in London, UK. As a Global Retirement Risk Manager, you will collaborate and partner with a team of retirement professionals. You will work with Amazon's legal, tax, benefits, compensation, HR shared services, technology and operational teams to identify, assess, mitigate and monitor risks across the organization's global retirement programs and ensure compliance obligations are met.

This candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive risk management strategies and frameworks for program and project management to support our international retirement plans, define risk governance structures with internal stakeholders and external partners, document risk assessment processes and control requirements; implement business-level risk monitoring mechanisms; develop and execute on program/business level risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies, and manage risk reporting metrics and dashboards.

Qualified candidates need to have prior pension/retirement program management experience with a strong focus on risk assessment and mitigation. The ideal candidate must have strong critical thinking skills, superior attention to detail with sound judgement, highly organized, analytical, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, and have a strong passion for customer service and risk management excellence. Experience with AI-powered analytics tools and automation platforms for risk monitoring, predictive modeling, and dashboard development; familiarity with generative AI applications for data analysis, reporting automation, and risk modeling is highly desirable.

Key job responsibilities
- Risk Strategy & Framework: Develop and implement comprehensive risk management solutions that identify, assess, and mitigate pension-related risks while supporting strategic initiatives, optimizing employee experience, and scaling for future growth.
- Risk Assessment & Monitoring: Review international retirement plans to identify operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks, ensuring operations meet risk tolerance thresholds and regulatory obligations.
- Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement corrective action plans to resolve vulnerabilities and address emerging risk scenarios, including proactive identification of compliance gaps, operational risks, and fiduciary threats.
- Project & Escalation Management: Execute risk assessments for retirement/savings projects, audits, and compliance reviews, communicating findings and mitigation strategies. Respond to and resolve escalations while maintaining appropriate risk controls.
- Risk Intelligence & Reporting: Research risk scenarios, maintain country-specific risk inventories with impact assessments, and develop automated dashboards using AI tools. Become proficient in Amazon systems and risk management tools.
- Regulatory Monitoring & Governance: Track regulatory changes affecting international pension programs and develop risk-adjusted compliance strategies. Lead or participate in RFI/RFPs, ensuring risk considerations are embedded in vendor selection and management.
- Risk Assessment Travel: Able to travel up to 20%, as necessary, to conduct on-site risk assessments and stakeholder engagement.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment
- Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing tasks
- Experience identifying and resolving complex issues
- Experience with strong project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in business analysis and functional roles requiring quantitative, analytical and organizational skills, including intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups)
- Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service
- Experience planning, managing, and delivering customer-focused documentation across multiple teams
- Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
- Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
- Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
