Overview

What will you be doing?

This key senior commerce role is responsible for overseeing global retail media operations for an exciting global FMCG brand. The role will be focused on driving growth across a range of must-win platforms including; Amazon, eGrocer, and Omnichannel, and will be a key figure in client management concerning central strategic governance landing in market. The role reports into the Global Retail Media Director.

The successful candidate should have hands on experience when activating/leading strategy across omnichannel platforms, though the job is focused on client management and managing local commerce teams in market who are executing the retail media campaigns. Direct experience managing senior internal and external stakeholders is critical.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Codify global retail media strategy and align growth strategies in line with clients core objectives
  • Provide strategic direction and oversee the management of local market network when handling retail media campaign on platforms such as Amazon Advertising, Epsilon Retail Media, Citrus, and Criteo
  • Creating globally standardised strategies and consistent approaches in all markets
  • Lead global ad-tech partnerships in relation to retail media and drive global consistencies in line with clients growth plans
  • Key point of contact for all retail media related vendor negoations (Amazon, retailer specific JBPs) to ensure we're maximising our partnership value
  • Support global leadership on integrating commerce into engagements with wider sub-divisions as part of a connected ecosystem

Client Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery
  • Facilitate regular calls and meetings with local clients to ensure alignment on campaign objectives and KPIs
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client escalations and issue resolution, ensuring timely and effective solutions

Network Management

  • Engage with in-market teams to understand the work currently being done within retail media, to gather and socialize best practices
  • Elevate the delivery of work in-market, as well as providing direct subject matter support to retail media teams; be primary point of contact for in-market Publicis Media team.

The Person

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience within retail media and/or agency environments.
  • Preferably experience of hands-on experience with Amazon Advertising/Vendor Central, Epsilon Retail Media, and/or Criteo.
  • Proven success in managing large accounts, ideally within an agency setting
  • Strong understanding of the omnichannel; commerce media across Grocer, Marketplaces, Retailers
  • Strong experience managing third-party ad-tech relationships
  • Experience across digital shelf tools and shelf intelligence
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders across all levels with ease
  • Preferred certifications or experience with Amazon Advertising Foundations, Sponsored Ads Foundations, Amazon Vendor Central, Amazon Brand Analytics, Amazon DSP, Epsilon Retail Media, Criteo, or other retailer-specific platforms would be a bonus.
  • Aptitude for effective collaboration with both internal teams and external partners, preferably with experience working alongside agencies and stakeholders in a global network.
  • Outstanding project management skills with the ability to oversee projects involving multiple teams and functions.
  • Experience managing key senior stakeholders through comms and weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings

Critical Skills

  • Ability to work with large quantities of data for analysis, trended behaviours and insights
  • Exemplary PowerPoint and presentation skills to senior stakeholders (internal and client-facing)
  • Excellent written communications skills (email, powerpoint, word)
  • Line management experience and working with multiple teams
